UFICO was established in 1980 to be later listed in 1996 (Ticker: UCFI). UFICO is considered the leading investment banking firms in Jordan. UFICO's brokerage services offer the latest technologies with direct links to global financial markets. In 2002, UFICO became a subsidiary of Jordan Kuwait Bank (JKB) with the bank holding a controlling share (78.3%) of its capital.
In October 2021, UFICO acquired Sanad Capital, a fully-owned subsidiary of JKB. Sanad Capital was established in 2016 and offers a wide range of financial advisory services including lead managing stocks and bonds issuances, financial advisory services to companies and family groups, in addition to offering financial investment opportunities.
Furthermore, in June 2022, UFICO acquired Al Mawared Brokerage Company (a subsidiary of Invest Bank), increased its capital to JD 10.0 million, and completed the acquisition of The Arab Financial Investment Company (“AFIN”) at the end of December 2022.
